Hi all. My latest acquisition is the Commodore Sound Expander for the 64/128. It is a cartridge port device the same shape as the Magic Voice and inside there is a Yamaha YM3526 FM synthesis chip, some logic for the optional music keyboard port and a bit of analogue circuitry to output the signal. I think these units are fairly rare; anyway I want to find out as much as I can about its registers. There is the possibility of routing the output through the SID chip, so you can have 3 SID channels, 8 FM channels and the filter applied to either of them. Does anyone have any documentation on this thing? As always, the Commodore-supplied software and docs are a little lacking, to put it mildly.
