It was worth the couple of hours to finish the port of the KERNEL stubs to BASIC 2.0 (The PLOT routine needed work). I have a *working* version of ZORK for the PET! Unfortunately, the same source still does not work on the 8032, so I've narrowed it down to a difference between the BASIC 2.0 ROMs and BASIC 4.0 ROMs, not PET ROMs and C-64 ROMs. Go to my page, get pet2001bigzip, load it into VICE configured as a PET 3032, then stick in either game .D64 file and run. After all these years, the PET can now play Infocom games! I have not yet tested restore/save, BTW. There is a slight possibility that those may be broken, but only because the code there uses a lot of OPENs and CLOSEs and PLOTs. -ethan - This message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list.
