Yeah, I know that feeling ;) I made it an extended image because I thought I saw some differences in how the copy behaved when I tried it in a real machine (comparing a normal copy with an extended disk copy). But in fact there's some variation in how the copy protection 'crashes' anyway; sometimes the screen just freezes, other times it fills up with varying amounts of '0's and then freezes. I'll put a normal version of the disk on funet in a few days time along with new transfers of lots of other SFX-related files. This will include many tape images, as unfortunately some of the software is only available to me in tape format. Last night I added the datassette interface onto my X1541 cable, and I used a datassette pass-thru connector so I can connect the PC to a tape drive or a C64's tape port. (in fact it's a cheat - my scheme uses the C64 to power the datassette, with a quick POKE0,7 to be sure of turning the motor on and all the other ports to input) Richard - This message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list.
