Hi Ruud, regarding your comments on the timing of the IEEE488 bus, you may want to look at the VICE IEEE488 emulation. It has a IEEE488 state engine that monitors - in VICE - the emulated port lines of the PET and - in my lptiec - the IEEE488 lines of my original PET and uses the VICE drive emulation as "backend". It does not use any artificial delays at all, but only reacts on the line changes, and even better, it works with all PETs, not only 80xx.
