So you can check if +5V and GND are connected to the right pins. If not, you already have a big problem because this means it aren't joystick ports at all. Knowing the functions, you can look up in the C116 schematic to what pin of the TED it should be connected. Same for the cassetteport: it should be connected to the CPU.
