Yep, indeed. I thought that I changed that. The first idea was starting
with (H) and pulling it to (L) but then I got this idea of using (H) as
active signal so it also could be used as a (small) power source. But
now it seems I forgot to change the first (H).

The idea was to power-on only _one_ machine by hand and this one sees a
(L) and thus asks if it should start the network software. Witht the
right electronics installed, the rest of the C64's will start-up and see
a (H).

No problem, but then, as said, a collision detection is needed. But
whether to use collision detection, master/slave, token ring or another
solution is a matter of SW and IMHO we can discuss that thoroughly after
we have decided on the hardware.
