Simple C64 basic programs can be converted quite easily to run on the P500 with a simple change to the SID's start address. No tempo changes are required as the C64 and P500 have the same clock speed. I also managed to convert the C64's "Master Composer" player to run on the B-series... almost. I'm sure it wouldn't take too much to get it to work on the P500.

What is also interesting about the P500 is that an entire bank of 64K memory can be dedicated to the VIC-II chip.

If you're looking for more P500 info check my CBM-II page... http://ca.geocities.com/sjgray@rogers.com/CBM/index.html

I have some new info on the B-series HP internal drives, and I just managed to aquire a board I mentioned - an adapter board that plugs onto the SFD-1001 motherboard and adds the second drive, basically making it into an 8250LP. Unfortunately the board is not working, but the guy I got it from has a working unit so hopefully it can be fixed.

PS: My first post to cbm-hackers... although I've been reading for quite a while.
