There are also two circular trace pads below the corner of the drive closest to the power supply that can be cut through with a hobby knife to permanently set the drive to a number other than 8. AFAIK there is no way to completely disable it since all the drive logic is on the same board. Pictures of the traces are in my writeup on heat sinking the thing here. For some reason sometimes the thumbnails don't load but if you click on the broken image icon it loads the full resolution version. http://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30963 Justin On Sep 25, 2009, at 2:25 PM, Bill Degnan wrote: > Here is what I have, a BASIC program from my notes > > 10 open 15,odn,15 > 20 print#15, "m-w"chr$(12)chr$(0)chr$(2)chr$(ndn+32)chr$(ndn+64) > 30 close 15 > > on the last two it would be chr$(41) and chr$(73) for changing to > unit 9. > > Bill > > -------- Original Message -------- >> From: "Craig Taylor" <ctalkobt@gmail.com> >> Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 2:13 PM >> To: cbm-hackers@ling.gu.se >> Subject: Re: Disconnecting the 1571 drive of a C128DCR >> >> There is no poke afaik to disable it - however you can renumber it >> out > of >> the way if he wants to hook up something else do drive 8: >> >> Just renumber the drive, from memory just do : >> open15,8,15,"u0>"+chr$(12);close 15 >> for device 12... >> >> On Fri, Sep 25, 2009 at 1:36 PM, <Ruud@baltissen.org> wrote: >> >>> Hallo allemaal, >>> >>> >>> A Russian guy, Alexander, found me through the Internet and asked me >>> if I knew the poke commands to "disconnect" the C128 from the >>> onboard 1571 drive.
