Ah, thanks for that; it sure sounded like a discrepancy between the PET
and display frequencies but I'd always assumed the 9" models all used 
the same displays. Live and learn (not to make assumptions ;-).

You don't sat what you mean by "more modern PET".   The video display 
circuitry is not compatible with "dynamic PET" versions.  For one thing, 
the display operates at a different frequency.
