Hi All,

The little brother of the technician on the 128 just mentioned that he had a C128D we gave him back then. This would be one of the originals from 1984 and not one of the production releases from a couple of years later. I only recently became aware that the 128D was released as a different version after I left with 64k on the 80 column and a different clock driver for the Z80, and from the sound of it, more video noise on the display.

Are these "real" 128D's thought of any differently than the production ones? Are they curiosities, collectors items or just old trash?

Were there 128D's that were made with the original PCB in the bigger case or was it just released as the 2nd rev of the PCB board? (The big holes in the middle of the production 128 board were there to accommodate the D chassis.)

Bil
