Heh, heh; you're right, it's consistently misspelled in the body of the K1008 manual, but nowhere else as far as I can see. Typical; the tech writers couldn't spell, but the marketing folks who did the front covers and the catalogue were probably all MBAs (not that that guarantees spelling ability either) ;-) But FWIW, I think the official names were 'Visible', spelling errors in that one manual notwithstanding. I'll scan some pages for your files and amusement. mike *************************************************************************************************** ---------- From: Cameron Kaiser[SMTP:spectre@floodgap.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 22, 2009 4:06 PM To: cbm-hackers@musoftware.de Subject: Re: Hi-res on the PET > Umm, sorry Cameron; much as I hate to argue with you of all people, I have > the manuals and MTU catalogue in front of me, and it's "Visible" in all of > them... Where did you see it called "Visable?" Maybe MTU corrected it after the fact. Anyway, it's from here and I think I've seen it spelled that way in a few other places: http://www.kim-1.com/files/k-1008_visable_memory.pdf Notice that the whole document spells it that way. I guess MTU didn't lose any sleep on spell checking. :) -- ------------------------------------ personal: http://www.cameronkaiser.com/ -- Cameron Kaiser * Floodgap Systems * www.floodgap.com * ckaiser@floodgap.com -- When in doubt, take a pawn. -- Mission: Impossible ("Crack-Up") ------------ Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2009-12-23 06:00:20
