Perhaps you can start here:

http://www.npsnet.com/danf/cbm/languages.html#Assembly

Most run on C64, some on PET etc.

The question is how many of those are available today, and how many
are fully functional to the point they are a good alternative to
cross development.

My first encounter with assembly language was through the Dr Watson
Book of Assembly Language Programming for the Commodore 64, written
by Derek Bush & Peter Holmes and published by Glentop Publishers Ltd.
It seems to be missing in the list on the web page, but then again
it is more a book + software package to learn assembly programming
than a full featured assembler.

Good luck in your research!
