My first encounter with assembly language was through the Dr Watson Book of Assembly Language Programming for the Commodore 64, written by Derek Bush & Peter Holmes and published by Glentop Publishers Ltd. It seems to be missing in the list on the web page, but then again it is more a book + software package to learn assembly programming than a full featured assembler.
