RE: PC as 1541

I have. And it didn't work; I had a PCI-LPT card of another brand and
for one or another reason the program didn't recognize it. Not wanting
to buy another card, having 64HDD and my self-written program I never
had a second look at it.

But I wonder if a modern board where the on-board LPT can handle DMA
(ECP mode IIRC?) could work? If yes, would I use it? With 1541IDE and
1541Ultimate around, most probably not, maybe out of curiousity.
