The memory test code in the cartridge is just a rewrite of the standard kernal routine, only it checks every 256th byte instead of each byte. The kernal and Basic routines never use bank 0, so they dont't check for it - therefore neither does my cartridge :) And the 8088 card would even not see this bank due to address translation on the card.
