I know that there are several similar projects already, but they a) require the user to solder and/or reprogram it itself and b) do not have the ease of use that loading cartridge images from SD card brings. Not exactly the same but something similar, which I would personally buy right away is a rom replacement that would allow either: - to plug in an external flash storage (SD/MiniSD/MicroSD) or - to connect USB cable in order to access built-in flash storage (as mass storage class of device) There it would be place to store several KERNAL images and possibly CHAROM images. But KERNAL is the most important for the start. Upon power up with a key combination (e. g. C= key) a menu would be brought up that would allow selection of the image to boot with. Simple menu with cursors up/down and RETURN to select and boot with the chosen KERNAL/CHAROM. The choice would remain active until next power-up with key combination. If you can make one like that - I buy it right away. Can even preorder if needed. -- SD! Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2012-05-07 18:00:16
