give it a GOOD cleaning, and a drop of oil. *very* few drives i have come 
across were actually misaligned - most failures are caused by dirty head.

finding an alignment disk is almost impossible (an actual alignment disk 
containing elliptic analog tracks that is), they occasionaly pop up on ebay 
for insane prices.
