I think it was 1994 when Jens Schönefeld uploaded his 64KB PLA "truth table" dump to the German Z-Netz Commodore discussion group. Among others, Andreas Boose and I guessed the equations and verified the guesses by writing a C program that generated the same outputs from the inputs. The CASRAM equation was the hardest nut to crack. A few years later, it emerged that the PLA did support negation at the top level, allowing the equation to be simplified.
