It's very nice if you have a C16 or Plus/4. But you still need a 1541 
anyway since some demos will not work with a 1551.

I also think it's a bit too pricy.

There is something that would be REALLY nice... A SD2IEC derivate that 
uses the interface of the 1551 to talk to the computer.
