Hm, doesn't the VIC-1540 have some rarely used feature with a USR file named 
"&" that would automatically boot when turning on the VIC-20? I've never had 
the chance to try it myself, so it is very hazy memories. Otherwise * as 
mentioned would load the first (1) file from the floppy disk.

(1) In case you just loaded a file, would * load the same file again? Again 
I have very hazy memories of reading that, but I never tried it as well.
