My oscilloscope is an old Tek 453 and without a repeating signal I'll never see it. If you have a (native) parallel port (that is, not connected via USB) and some soldering skill (and can boot to native DOS), than PPOSC (http://www.trikaliotis.net/pposc) might help you. In fact, I used it to debug OpenCBM/Windows. It is even older than that, though. I wrote it for verification in my diploma thesis which I completed in February 2000.
