Right - that's what I meant by writing "hardware add-on for copying disks" ;-) The conclusion so far is that if that's a 1541 expansion then it is either a proto of TT with VIA port tapped on separately or - what I tend to believe more - a copy station hardware. In the latter case, the "industrial setup" could possibly even get along with drive case remaining open as Ruud mentioned. -- SD!
