After reading all the responses, I am not sure what was wanted, so I shall just give the information I have. PEEK(65288) on the Plus/4 and C16 gives 255. This is a write only register in the TED and gives 255 when read. All other Commodore computers have ROM at this location and return different values. NOTE: on the C128 you must first POKE 981,15 and on the B series POKE 599,15 to set the PEEK to the ROM bank. The PLUS/4 has a 6551 at FD00-FD0F which is not present in the C16. The Plus/4 has a 6529B at FD10-FD1F and the C16 has a cassette port there. Attempting to acces the registers on these chips could tell the difference between these machines.
