The other day I was connecting a Commodore computer to a monitor. I selected a cable by the usual method (trial and error). It occured to me that this process would be easier if I had a chart of the pinouts of the various Commodore video connectors. Here is the result: 8 7 Commodore 6 Video Connector 3 1 5 4 2 C16/Plus4 C64/SX64/C128 Pin C64 VIC20CR VIC20 B/600 ------------- --- --------- --------- ------------ --------- (Y) Video 1 Video +5 V +5 V Luminance (R) Ground 2 Ground Ground Ground Ground (W) Audio Out 3 Audio Out Audio Out Audio Out V Sync (B) Composite 4 Composite Video 50 Ohm Video Video (W) Audio In 5 Audio In Video Video H Sync (Y) (R) Color 6 +5 V (C64) 8 Video means combined luminance and sync. Composite means combined video and audio The letters on either end represent two common video cables that I have. The letters are the first letter of the color of the connector. One of the problems compiling this was that the documentation was not consistant naming the signals, so these are different from the documentation. I have tried to make them consistant. - This message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list. To unsubscribe: echo unsubscribe | mail cbm-hackers-request@dot.tcm.hut.fi.
