SFD mechanics are the "modernest" 100TPI that I know of (also present in 8296 and 8250LP ?) ... Don't know if it would be easier to find adaptable electronics to those .... but in all cases, certainly interesting to have at least for spare.

I remember a person on Germany selling SFD-1001 mechanics, I even bought
one from him. I can try to search my archive if you are interested.
