The majority of people work normal jobs and they expect to get up and go to 
bed on the same day with the work they do being on the same "day".

They would get confused if they get up at dawn on monday and after they've 
had their mid morning coffee it's now tuesday. This would affect different 
countries in different ways.

Local time does really make things easier.
