I have one of those SCSI2SD boards from Codersrc.com. I still haven’t decided where to install it, but at least it worked fine thrue a SCSI-USB -adapter and in WinUAE as an Amiga hard drive. And I think I used it with my CDT’s SCSI interface. I seem to remember that in HDToolBox verify gave me an ”Drive returned an Illegal Request (36)”, but other than that, it all worked fine. At least then the speed was described as about some early 90’s SCSI hard drives, so at least for low-end machines this should work fine. I haven’t watched recent firmware upgrades, it might have got more speed since my tries. Do note, though, that the SD card cannot be read on other machines (ie. no file transfers over SD card) and the USB is only used for setting the parameters (drive size limit, manufactorer/drive type names shown over SCSI etc) so it is just a HDD replacement, not file transfer method as such. — Ville L. > Didier Derny <didier@aida.org> kirjoitti 3.11.2014 kello 10.20: > > ever tried this product ? > > http://www.codesrc.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=SCSI2SD > > > On 03/11/2014 00:10, silverdr@wfmh.org.pl wrote: >> >> >> On 2014-11-02 23:16, Justin wrote: >>> Has anyone seen a decent solution for a solid state replacement? The only solution that I fond BOTH fast and reliable was an interface from ACARD that converts SCSI to PATA for - again - connecting a CF card. My OnyxSGI worked this way for some time as well as A3000. Combinations with SD card to PATA adapters also work reasonably well then. ACARD adapter is very good but quite expensive too. >> > > > Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing listReceived on 2014-11-03 09:00:40
