Hi André, >Has anyone some more information on these terminal programs (e.g. how >to change baud rate etc), or another, more simple, terminal program for >the 600/700 machines? How about my cbmlink? Back in 2002 or 2003, I implemented and tested 6551 routines on a plus/4, a 720 and on a SwitfLink compatible C64/C128 cartridge. I built but did not test it also for the P500. While the software might be of limited use, at least you get the source code and can experiment with it. The baud rate is settable on the POSIX/Windows/Amiga end of the cable. IIRC there is no flow control (not XON/XOFF nor CTS/RTS), and the communication is essentially half-duplex in the protocol.
