Hallo Didier, > what where the differences between standard PC and Commodore PC ? Richard Lagendijk's site shows you some: http://www.richardlagendijk.nl/cip/computer/item/pc1/en It start with the PC-1 but that isn't the oldest one. Clock on the link at bottom-right and you'll end up with the PC-10. This machine can be considered as the most IBM-XT compatible one. It accepts XT-keyboards and its keyboard is accepted by XTs/XT-clones. The next PC on this site is the PC10-III. Seen from the software point of view it is XT compatible as well but the hardware isn't. Its keyboard can be used with neither XT nor AT (compatible) computers. And vica versa. But it had various advantages. It has a setup possibility only found in newer ATs and 386+ computers and has a real time clock that set the software clock of the PC after a reset. I know some XTs with an on board RTC but the software time still had to be set by software run by the AUTOEXEC.BAT. It also has its own mouse port. It looks like a SR-232 one but you have to attach an Amiga mouse. The PC20-III is the same machine but equipped with an 8-bits IDE hard disk drive. The PC-1 is IMHO a minimized PC10- III. It has many of the same ICs as the PC10-III on its motherboard and needs the same weird keyboard. (the picture shows the wrong keyboard, I only noticed now) Met vriendelijke groet / With kind regards, Ruud Baltissen www.Baltissen.org De informatie in dit e-mailbericht is vertrouwelijk en uitsluitend bestemd voor de geadresseerde.
