Doesn't it apply to both types of devices? Current ones are more and more problematic in the 5V/TTL environments. I have a bunch of MAX7000s which are 5V not only tolerant. And I keep another bunch of XC3000As for the moment when I may start needing an FPGA with the same characteristic - 5V powered, TTL compatible. -- SD!
