Now I tested a lot: I successfully replaced two of the lower 2316s (H3 E000-E7FF and H4 F000-F7FF) with 2716s. This is possible because BA11 (for X000-X7FF) goes to Pin 18 CE and in the lower ROMs is CE mask-programmed as low-active! In the upper ROMs H5,H6,H7 (0X800 - 0XFFF) is Pin 18 mask-programmed as high-active. It should be possible to replace each of the 4k-pairs H1/H5, H2/H6, H4/H7 with 2532s, because BA11 goes to A11 of the eproms and you need only 3 4k-eproms instead 6 2k-roms. You can put the eproms in H1,H2,H4 or in H5,H6,H7 - that dosen't matters. I tried this in two machines - and it dosen't runs! Why??? Funny is: I tried the 4k-roms of my CBM3032 in H1,H2,H4 and the 2k-Edit in H3 - and that runs!!! Only the keyboard doesn't fit. I plugged my 3032-keyboard to the 2001 - and that works great!
