A quick update: I downloaded MSBASIC.COM from here:

At the first glance, it appears to work. I wrote a simple 10 PRINT
"Hello world" program and it ran, I can also save it to disk and load it
later. The BackSpace key does not work but cursor left key works as
backspace. I have no idea though how to exit to the DOS from the BASIC
:-) I suppose the BASIC dialect would be MS BASIC similar to what we
have on Commodore 64?
