The problem with CGA is that lots of software written for CGA cards polls hardware ports for screen blanking interval, to avoid "snow" when writing to the screen memory (for example, VisiCalc does that). This is something we cannot emulate in software. With MDA, there is no such problem and thus a bigger number of programs will work. Regards, Michau.
