Which means that in order to get anything relatively close to "well" you need absolutely top notch audio recording, done off a deck that's close to perfectly aligned to a particular tape. Once you have this, there were some tools like: https://github.com/fabzzap/wav-prg and https://sourceforge.net/projects/tapclean/ that can help with that. Success rate to be expected is rather low though (I assume that the dotWAV files were made using audio transfer).
