Please attach the 8088 card to your P500 and try starting the MS-DOS
1.25 disk. Please report exactly what is happening and when it stops :-)

Specifically, when loading the software from a 8050 or 8250, there is a
moment when the second drive is briefly accessed. It is the 8088
enumerating all drives in the system, so if you get this far, you will
know that the 8088 has been started and executed at least *some* code.
