If a datasheet requires you to imagine something then it's flawed because your imagination may be wrong. My point is that either: 1. the datasheet is too vague and it's a supported configuration. 2. the configuration isn't supported and it just happens to work. I'm not arrogant enough to say for sure either way without seeing a decap.
