Thanks for that pointer Bill! I note that the Wiki article doesn't cite a source for the assertion about TRS-80 and CP/M, and I find it doubtful on those platforms (but I could be wrong). On TRS-80, I see "Electric Webster" coming out in 1982, and Scripsit which is less clear, but also doesn't appear to exist in 1980. On CP/M, everything that I could see is a bit fuzzy. 1982 seems to be the year when MANY options became available. Anyway, I just edited the Wiki article with what I believe, and included my known facts as corroboration, and used the phrase "commercially available" to differentiate from 'user community' projects that might have existed. We'll see if it "sticks". Meanwhile, I found this 'scholarly' paper on the subject. It was published in Dec. 1980, just after we started selling WorkCheck. It doesn't seem to mention micros/personal systems at all. http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.329.5814&rep=rep1&type=pdf Pete -- Sent from: http://cbm-hackers.2304266.n4.nabble.com/Received on 2019-01-05 04:01:43
