Hi Ruud, I have not been running into this with VICE, but with my PC IEEE488 interface - DIR is horribly slow, exaclty because it is using CHKIN/BASIN/CLRCH I/O. And each time the PC gets an attention, my interface is (sue to polling) not very fast there...
