You can order a copy of the PS/2 Mouse Technical Reference from the IBM web
site. Cost is US$4 or $5 from memory.

(Cost may vary from country to country. For example, some time ago I wanted to
order a technical reference for an IBM disk drive. Cost in the US was $7 or
so, cost in the UK was around 50 pounds(!) I arranged for a friend in the USA
to order it and then post it to me.)
