Hallo William, > I uploaded the program READ6530 to funet some time ago. I don't know > where it ended up. It will copy the contents of the 6530 ROM to a disk > file. I doublechecked things by replacing the ROMs and the 6530 of a working 4040 with the DOS 1 versions. The computer answered "file not found" again. I haven't digged up the SCHs yet but I assume the 6530 is responcible for reading the actual data. So if there is something wrong with its I/O, one can expect the above message. Unless someone has another explanation. > The number of sectors on a track is defined by a paramater table in DOS. That's why expected different ROM-images. An earlier mail expressed my confusin: we have three machines and only 2 DOS-versions. Groetjes, Ruud - This message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list.
