I'm just cleaning up my room and finally decided to open up my VICs to get the missing board markings. I also got an interesting C64E :-) Nicolas Welte wrote: > C64E |250469 |U7 |CT1 |8565 |J3 zu |8562 |J3 auf > > This is the completely redesigned small board with HMOS chips and the 64pin > gate array chip. I found another revision of the C64E, i.e. the small board WITH color RAM chip. It is simply called 250469 rev A, and I couldn't see any obvious differences to rev 3 and rev 4. Now for the VIC-20. Someone told me that NTSC versions usually have different board revisions, but still there should be only two major board versions: the large original VIC20 board, and the small VIC20CR board. The main differences are the board size, the power input jack, the voltage regulator circuit and the type and number of RAM chips used. I'm missing a VIC20CR NTSC, so maybe someone else could fill in this hole?
