Hi Frank, Yes, I used an SOT23 single gate inverter and a pull up resistor. It took up a bit more space than the two cut pads so I had to slide the IC up a little. I'm sending one to a friend in the USA who has a PAL converted C64 so he can double check it works. It should and I can set up a test rig on a breadboard but it would be nice to know for certain in a real machine.
