Hey Terry,

I have the 5.2 SCSI2SD in my HD-100 and it works perfectly. You do not need to cut any of the power connectors. You will just need a short molex to 4-pin floppy connector… you probably have a pile already. :) Here is what it looks like:

From Amazon…

https://www.amazon.com/Kentek-Floppy-Internal-Computer-Adapter/dp/B07KS5NHTC/ref=sr_1_3

or from NewEgg…

https://www.newegg.com/p/284-004W-000F7

I didn’t need to adjust anything on the 5.2 SCSI2SD except set the max size to 4GB (I only had 16GB SD card laying around). The Windows software to adjust the SCSI2D is here:

http://www.codesrc.com/files/scsi2sd/latest/windows/64bit/

Here is the main download link:

I left everything at default on my SCSI2DC. The firmware on the SCSI2SD can be updated but mine came with the latest (v4.8.04).

Subject: Re: CMD HD mechanism failure?

Hi Raj and all,

I finally hear back from the owner of the scsi to sd he said the V6 is a little too fast for slower hardware so he recommended the

V5. With the CMD HD's external power source I would only need maybe just the 5VDC only.

Was the 12VDC only needed for the actual mechanical mechanisms motor only?

If so I would just of course need to cut the 12VDC wire since that is no longer needed, Im referring to the small

wire with the larger connector (for hard drives) well and a ground wire is needed for that too I suppose. :)

With the scsi to sd board does this come with seperate software for adjusting certain settings etc and is that then flashed into

the firmware? Can the firmware on this board be updated etc?

Mainly for the CMD HD though only uses Dev0 and Lun0 so will this firmware let you select this scsi ID number

since because the CMD HD only uses zero, otherwise other numbers will just create SCSI errors.

So again Im awaiting an answer from this guy, as far as the power requirements, and how to configure the

scsi. If I understand the info on this it appears its a PC app that you select all of the scsi settings to use with different types

of scsi, or is this just limited to 50 pin scsi, it looks like only 50 pin to me.

Anyway thanks guys once I hear from this guy I will try the V5 one is what this guy reccomended for slower drives, but

will the V6 compensate for Jiffy Dos and a Super CPU. :-) If so maybe hes wrong and I pointed that out to him about Jiffy Dos and the

Super CPU helping, but I would want it to still work at 1mhz though, but this was just something I was curious about.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Terry
