Hi Silverdr yes this is still online on Maurices server at: www.cbmfiles.com/geos/ With the FREE GEOS at at the above URL as far as the OS itself are the serial numbers removed or are those still there and need to be removed? Since were on the subject of Geos I have a programming inquiry about Wheels (the GEOS upgrade)? If some interested individual knows more about coding in either GEOS/Wheels more so in Wheels since its unique routines differ some. Im working on a Wheels app and if someone could possibly help me with the code please send me an email. Yearrrrsss ago around 1999 or so Maurice debugged GeoProgrammer and removed all of the OP Code bugs so he renamed the upgrades to: Concept- Just like GeoProgrammer except all the bugs are completely gone, you can only code small apps etc. NOTE: Concept is not compatible with the older GEO Debugger. Concept has its own small debugger that works along with Geo Write. Concept Plus- Supports the CMD Super CPU, you can still code 8-bit apps or 16-bit code apps, The assembly and Linking is far more faster. This version also is not compatible with the older GeoDebugger app. This version also has its own built in small debugger that works along with Geo Write. I believe some of the GEOS Macros for Wheels may be somewhat different also, but the original Geo Programmer Macros Disk I think can still be used. You can find both Concept/ Concept Plus on Bo Zimmermans website: www.zimmers.net in the GEOS section of his website, When Maurice Released Wheels in 1998 he shared all of the main Wheels routines and he also supported email questions from interested programmers this info is on Bo Zimmermans website as well, plus other plain GEOS programming info for those who may be interested. For those who still have a real C64/ C128/ and you wish to code in the older style, but GEOS/Wheels code uses very unique routines that work along with ML OP codes. Anyway Mr Randall and a few in the United States used to code quite a bit years ago I wish we could do something similar and get more interested ones coding Geos/Wheels/MegaPatch apps. The usual problem though is for those who no longer own a real Commodore 64/128, very few Super CPU's but to my knowledge I think there are PC tools for coding for the 65816 if some dont have the older hardware. Sorry to ramble but I have this interest in learning ML and coding for GEOS/Wheels and I would even support MegaPatch. What Im saying is I wish we even had either an email list or even a forum dedicated for GEOS/Wheels/MegaPatch for just programming for the OS etc. Terry Raymond traymond160_at_gmail.com On Fri, May 14, 2021 at 7:26 AM Marc Rintsch <marc_at_rintsch.de> wrote: > On 14.05.21 13:29, silverdr_at_wfmh.org.pl wrote: > > Some good time ago [that] Maurice put up a set of GEOS files and an > extensive doc on how to get clean install using wraptor and convert. > archive.org still has some snapshots here > > > > > https://web.archive.org/web/20050204023251/http://cmdrkey.com/cbm/geos/geos1.html > > > > And I remember successfully going through those steps yeaaars ago.
