Hello all,

I recently got a spare option rom (UD11 & UD12) switch panel, of the kind often
found on the 3-board MMF9000s.  One of the two sockets in it had a 901465-02,
which is a BASIC-2 rom.  I figured the prev owner must have had that chip sitting
around and stuck it in there so it would feel wanted.

Anyway, I started investigating whether this switcher board might be useful in my
single board SP9000, so I opened up my MMF and investigated how it was hooked up
in there.

To my shock, surprise, and great amusement, I found that my MMF9000 rom switcher
sockets contained 901465-01 and 901465-02.  So I guess the chip in the new
rom-switcher I got was no fluke!

What explains this though?  Of what possible use is a pair of BASIC-2 roms in
option rom sockets of the 8032 board of the MMF9000?

Needless to say, none of these rom switches seemed to do anything.  Inquiring
minds are puzzled.
