Perhaps you should look out for 8501R4. In contrast to the original R1s, 
these are very reliable.

My experience with the russion clones using TopMaxII as programmer is: 
If they don't fail during programming

they work without issue. But the failure rate when programming these is 
much higher than PLS100 (820S100).
