Hallo Nicolas, > but at least the 6522 would work as well, The reason for me to choose the 6526 was the fact that the choosen I/O is connected directlycto the addressbus of the C64 and as so also has to deal with the VIC-II. Using a 6522 meant I had to add at least a 74 flipflop to deal with the timing problems it has with the C64. Using a 6502 means that you have to add buffers as well as the 6502 is unable to tristate. Keep the 6522 on the side of the 6502 and the above problem is solved. For Daniele: May be a project for you? Would solve your shortage of 7501/8501's :) To give you an extra stimulance, if you succeed I offer you a 65816 as bonus. Imagine a Plus4 capable of handling 16 MB !!! ___ / __|__ / / |_/ Groetjes, Ruud \ \__|_\ \___| http://Ruud.C64.org Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list Message was sent through the cbm-hackers mailing list
