Hello cbm-hackers,
i was recently pointed to the 26 Lines Bug.
It has been said, that using this VIC-Mode, the VIC gets pretty hot.
The Effect opens the Border and does a doubled-line (forcing DMA via
$D011)
on the End of the 25th Line.
I pulled out my Multimeter, and measured the Temperature, on 2 C64Cs.
One had a new VIC, the other had an old VIC.
The old one had an Operating Temperature at 60°C, the new one stopped
increasing Temperature at 50°C.
I tried the text26 Program from frodo, but had no success in heating
them more up.
Has anybody measured higher Temperature with any VIC-Effects ?
