btw while we are at this topic... if anyone ever wondered why he had
problems with any MIDI related stuff (thats especially true for the
oldish stuff used with c64s) ... its almost certainly triggered by
a violation of the standard (eg protective ground connected straight
through - the datel interface had this flaw if i remember correctly).
