Hello Ruud, >The next step is supporting my own D16 format: a 8250 disk but with 255 >tracks and 256 sectors/track. I have thought about using other drives as >base but all have their own disadvantages: Rather that create some new format that would require its own tools, I would suggest that you adopt the 16MB format of a CMD drive. Format details are available, but essentially Track 1 sectors 0-33 for dir/BAM for disk regardless of how many tracks the disk has. I can send you an image of such a partition created by DriveGhost. CBMDISK can read the main directory, and a German fellow is working on Windows based tool. - Nick - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Your Engineering Solutions Provider http://www.orbeng.com.au/orbital/engineeringServices/engServices.htm - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PLEASE TAKE NOTE: The contents of this email (including any attachments) may be privileged and confidential.
