I've got one of the -02s in my oldest c64 and this one actually fills
the color ram, but by the current value of the background color (the vic
register), not the "cursor color" (found in $0286). If you meant this
difference, then (as I know from experience... back then, I even
replaced the kernal by an eprom with the image of a newer kernal
version, because of this small but important "bug" :-/ ) even -02 is
like that... Or, does -01 the screen clearing by a third way, not
touching the color ram at all?...
